Don't forget Free Comic Book Day is comming up on Saturday May 3rd. So come on in a pick up a free comic(due to limited quanties 1 per person). In other comic news DC's big summer event Final Crisis is about a month away(May 28th). Not too much information has been released about the plot of the 7 issue series except a "staple" of the DC universe is supposed to die in the first issue. Since Grant Morrison is writing it I would expect the unexpected. While on the subject of Grant Morrison you should be reading Batman and if you're not it's a great time to jump on. Next month's issuse #676 starts the Batman R.I.P. story arc. This story arc is supposed to mark the end of Bruce Wayne as Batman!!! and to come full circle this arc ties into Final Crisis. It's almost here, and to celebrate we'll be opening at Midnight on Tuesday April 29th. That's Monday night, going into Tuesday. Pre-orders are still available, but supplies will be limited. This Wednesday starts the big Marvel event Secret Invasion it's a 8 part mini-Series with a lot of tie-ins. Basically the Skrull's(if you don't know are shape shifting aliens) who have infiltrated the Marvel Universe and taken the place of some of the heroes that you know and love. We're going to push back the tournament one week to April 11th. This is so everybody has plenty of time to plan to be there. Everything else is the same, so check back for updates. |

We're holding a Guitar Hero 3 tournament on April 4th, at 7 p.m. Only this is going to be a bit different from before. Instead of having it at the store we'll be holding it down the street at Your Coffee and Cigar Box. They've got an excellent lounge with HDTVs and plenty of seating. Smoking is allowed (it is a cigar store after all) but we'll require ID if you want to smoke. Entry fee is $5 and that will be due when you register. You can sign up here or at the Cigar Box any time between now and the 4th. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Details: $5 entry fee. Single elimination, pro face off. Opening round will be Medium, final round will be Expert. Songs will be selected by us. Guitars will be available, but you can bring your own if you prefer.
